Surat Al-Balad (The City) - سورة البلد بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم 90:1 I swear by this city, Makkah - Urdu ہمیں اس شہر (مکہ) کی قسم 90:2 And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city - Urdu اور تم اسی شہر میں تو رہتے ہو 90:3 And [by] the father and that which was born [of him], Urdu اور باپ (یعنی آدم) اور اس کی اولاد کی قسم 90:4 We have certainly created man into hardship. Urdu کہ ہم نے انسان کو تکلیف (کی حالت) میں (رہنے والا) بنایا ہے 90:5 Does he think that never will anyone overcome him? Urdu کیا وہ خیال رکھتا ہے کہ اس پر کوئی قابو نہ پائے گا 90:6 He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance." Urdu کہتا ہے کہ میں نے بہت سا مال برباد کیا 90:7 Does he think that no one has seen him? Urdu کیا اسے یہ گمان ہے کہ اس کو کسی نے دیکھا نہیں 90:8 Have We not made for him two eyes? Urdu بھلا ہم نےاس کو دو آنکھیں نہیں دیں؟ 90:9 And a tongue and two lips? The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A man who thinks about the body of a woman under her clothes until he can visualize her shape, will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise.” [Albahr-ul Raaiq, vol. 8, p. 218] A woman who keeps herself hidden and covered would hate to be the object of a strange man’s fantasies. There is no police in the world that can know or prevent a man from thinking about another woman. The only person who can stop him is himself. The only police that he can be scared of, are Allah’s angels who will carry out His orders of punishment, since nothing remains hidden from Him. You are your own police. Let your conscience police you before Allah’s angels have to do the job! Thinking about and imagining the looks of a non-Mahram is forbidden in the Shariah. So save yourself from unworthy thoughts – thoughts that will keep you out of Paradise! Invest your time in Istighfaar “To ALLAH we belong and to ALLAH we return (2:156)”
